Artist's Statement
“The world of the abstract allows me to create art
in a common medium that is individually unique.”
I am a lifelong resident of Hannibal, Missouri and have witnessed photography go from film to the extraordinary technology of digital.
In 1980, I purchased my first 35mm camera and started doing weddings, portraits, sports, scenery / nature. Since that time, digital technology has made a profound impact on photography which has allowed me to set new goals for myself.
In addition to cost savings, digital photography has eliminated many of the processes required to create a photograph. This gives the photographer more time to experiment with new ideas.
While I still do normal photography, my passion is to create art by taking abstract photographs of simple subject matter with no computer enhancements.
